I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Biofeedback Specialist and I have over 35 years of clinical experience, 27 of which have been as President and Clinical Director of this facility. My life has been a committed education in personal growth, health and wellness. Historically, people find me when other therapies have been disappointing or their life situation has been chronic or exhausting. My intuition, life experience and passion support growth and positive changes. My specialization is stress reduction, compulsive to anxiety free, digestion, neurological and sensitive nervous system, emotional growth and spiritual healing. I love to create choices, solutions and education for all ages from infancy through maturity. My hope is that everyone coming to our clinic will find comfort, safety and understanding that will support healing and stress reduction, whether it be for their mind, physical body, heart or spirit. I feel the recent trends in our culture and the health care delivery system forces us to be proactive about living a healthy life and making choices to protect the next generation. |
| Liv Arafat; MS, LPC, NCC, Certified EMDR Therapist
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years experience. I work with adults, couples and families and my diverse multicultural background enriches my ability to work with people from many ethnic groups. I am a discerning therapist who will listen to your story and collaborate with you to find answers, solutions and insightful ideas that can help you make healthier choices and decisions. By exploring and processing unresolved experiences it is possible to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and find new meaning and hope. I believe in a gentle, integrative therapeutic approach that honors your unique personal story and empowers you to change. I am also EMDR certified and have specialized training in career counseling, narrative therapy and attachment therapy. I have experience working with a variety of issues including: anxiety and panic attacks, depression, relationships, divorce, self-esteem, caregiver stress, grief and loss, life transitions, woman's issues, trauma and performance enhancement. Why do I use EMDR? I have been using EMDR in my therapy for the past 12 years and continue to be amazed by the rapid and lasting positive results my clients are experiencing! Past traumas can cause emotional distress, internal conflict and unpleasant memories until resolved. Through EMDR clients quickly gain access to the unconscious negative beliefs that are causing their emotional pain and troubling behaviors. They can then begin the healing journey to self-acceptance and wholeness.
